I believe in the transformative power of education, the courage to ask questions, the drive to challenge the status quo, and the beauty of an ever-evolving design field. True success—especially as a designer—lies in a lifelong commitment to learning and growth. Pursuing my MFA is not just an expression of my passion for design but a pivotal step toward creating opportunities to share knowledge, inspire fellow creators, and realize my dream of launching my own company. It is also a deeply personal journey, one that allows me to set an example for my son, showing him that working mothers can be resilient, innovative, and capable of achieving it all.

For me, design begins with a solid foundation, but meaningful growth comes from the relentless pursuit of new ideas and possibilities. SCAD has challenged me to push boundaries, refine my skills, and embrace opportunities that allow me to thrive as a designer. My passion for artificial intelligence—its origins, its evolution, and its transformative impact on the creative landscape—fuels my vision for the future. Through this program, I aim to deepen my understanding of these cutting-edge technologies and their potential to shape the field of design.

Ultimately, I am driven to create work that not only captivates but also connects, inspires, and challenges. With my MFA, I seek to continue my journey of exploration and innovation, redefining what is possible in design while building a legacy that resonates both personally and professionally.

Throughout my journey in this program, one theme has stood out: the striking parallels between women in design and the rise of AI. As a passionate working mom, designer, and AI enthusiast, I’ve been deeply inspired to explore the recurring challenges of women’s influence—and lack of recognition—in the design field, as well as AI’s potential to shape representation and equity.

This exploration is rooted in a critical question: Where is the feminine voice in design and AI? How would the landscape of AI look today if it were shaped by women, particularly working mothers, and how might this influence redefine representation and innovation?

Design, to me, is far more than a creative practice—it is a powerful platform for advocacy, connection, and transformation. Women in design and AI share a common narrative: they push boundaries and fuel innovation while navigating persistent scrutiny and underrepresentation. My goal is to investigate and amplify the feminine perspective within these spaces, challenging outdated norms and envisioning a future shaped by inclusive voices.

Design and AI are more than creative tools—they are powerful platforms for advocacy, transformation, and meaningful change. Through this study, supported by data and analysis, I aim to amplify the feminine voice, challenge outdated norms, and redefine how we view design and AI—not merely as tools of expression and technology, but as vehicles for empowerment, equity, and progress. This mission reflects my passion for thoughtful design, my belief in the transformative power of diverse perspectives, and my commitment to building a legacy that uplifts women, working mothers, and the next generation of innovators.
